MULTIBANCO
The MULTIBANCO ATM Network was introduced on September 2, 1985, starting with just nine machines in Lisbon and Porto that supported basic operations such as cash withdrawals, balance checks, transaction inquiries, and PIN changes. Today, the network has expanded to nearly 13,000 ATMs nationwide, offering over 90 different services.
You can also use MULTIBANCO in your digital Payments. With this payment method, you can associate a MULTIBANCO Reference to the payment request initiated during checkout. Using this reference, customers can conveniently complete their payment through any MULTIBANCO ATM or supported digital channel.
MULTIBANCO Payment References are generated in real-time, having a reference entity on behalf of the Merchant.
Immediate reference activation. The expiry time limit can be managed by the day, hour and minute, and validation is done by check-digit.
Refunds of Digital MULTIBANCO Reference generations can be made without the need for a bank Transfer
