Overview
The Merchant Configuration area provides access to configuration features associated with the merchant account and the SIBS Payment Gateway services enabled for the merchant.
Depending on the authenticated user’s permissions and the services contracted for the merchant, this area allows users to consult and manage merchant information, operational settings, Payment Gateway services, and user administration.
The availability of individual configuration features depends on both the merchant configuration and the permissions assigned to the authenticated user.
Merchant Configuration Features
The Merchant Configuration area provides access to configuration features related to the operational management of the merchant account.
Depending on the enabled services and assigned permissions, users may have access to functionality related to:
- Merchant information.
- Merchant operational configuration.
- Payment Gateway services.
- User administration.
Some configuration areas are only available when the corresponding services have been enabled for the merchant account.
Access to Merchant Configuration
Merchant Configuration is available from the navigation menu of the SIBS Backoffice platform.
Selecting Merchant Configuration displays the configuration areas available for the authenticated user and the currently selected merchant.
Permissions
Access to Merchant Configuration is controlled through the SIBS Backoffice permission model.
The configuration areas available to each user depend on:
- The authenticated user’s profile.
- The permissions assigned to that profile.
- The currently selected merchant.
- The services enabled for the merchant.
As a result, different users may have access to different configuration options while using the same Backoffice environment.
Operational Context
Merchant Configuration centralizes the administrative configuration associated with the merchant account and complements the operational areas available within the SIBS Backoffice platform.
While Dashboard and Analytics, Transaction Management, and Reporting focus on operational monitoring and transaction processing, the Merchant Configuration area provides access to the configuration features that support those operational capabilities.
